Fly Tying Mat — Heritage Edition
Inspired by the traditions of classic salmon fly tying, the Heritage Fly Tying Mat celebrates the tools, patterns and craftsmanship that have shaped generations of fly tiers. Designed for those who appreciate the history behind every feather and hook, it brings a touch of tradition to your tying bench.
Made by hand in our Montreal workshop from premium full-grain Buffalo leather, each mat develops a rich patina that reflects countless flies tied and years of dedicated use.
Designed for the Bench
At the heart of the Heritage Fly Tying Mat are four historic tapered hook charts that remain valued references today: Price Tannatt, Herbert Maxwell, Dublin/Phillips and W. Bartleet Limerick. Beautifully engraved into the leather, they serve as both practical tools and a tribute to the golden age of salmon fly tying.
The leather surface protects your workbench while providing a comfortable workspace that only improves with time.
Buffalo Leather
We use premium full-grain Buffalo leather chosen for its durability, natural character and ability to age beautifully. Every scratch, mark and hour spent at the vise adds to its story, creating a mat that becomes uniquely yours over time.
