Why Buffalo Leather?

Buffalo leather has a character all its own. Its naturally pronounced grain gives every mat a unique appearance while its thick, durable structure stands up to years of daily use at the tying bench. As it ages, the leather develops a rich patina that reflects the countless flies tied upon it, making each mat as individual as the person using it.
